There is such a metaphor: a hunter to the forest to hunt, to prepare shotgun and dry food. If a student knows only to accumulate knowledge, but not to acquire knowledge, once on the job is like a hunter walking into a forest, with only dry food without a shotgun. No shotgun, dry food with more, will be exhausted. If you have a shotgun, and can be used freely, then worry about eating? This is a clever metaphor, the best way to explain the importance of learning most vividly. Actually, my education of my daughter is related to this shotgun. After dinner every day, our whole family sat together unreservedly pouring out what we saw, heard, thought and felt in a day. Those bad emotions, incorrect ideas, unfavorable factors of learning to work, were all invited to the “Recycle Bin.” Those good ideas and practices after the “three-person group” into the “circulation area.” This is the habit that my family has continued for years.
