饮茶,是中华民族的传统习俗。由于我国民族众多和风俗习惯的不同,又加上茶叶品种繁多,便形成了各民族多姿多彩的饮茶习俗。 苗族虫茶 一般茶叶都是采摘鲜叶经过烘炒加工制成,而湖南省城苗族的虫茶却不一样。它是先用茶叶喂养大米中常见的米蛀虫,米蛀虫吃了茶叶后排出一粒粒黑色粪便,这就是虫茶。茶水渐呈棕红色,香味浓郁,类似茶叶,但营养价值高于普通茶叶,具有清热解毒、健脾胃助消化之功效,是我国出口的特产茶。
