麦茬谷子超《纲要》复县许屯公社于1970年从北京引进早熟谷子进行复种试验。于7月14日播种,其中“北郊红”霜前成熟,生育期85天,亩产500多斤,在6个早熟谷子品种中,产量最高。北瓦房店大队第九队去年7月1日在麦茬地上复种6.3亩谷子,其中1.2亩“北郊红”于9月23日成熟,亩产423斤,5.1亩“六十日谷”10月7日成熟,亩产313.3斤。“北郊红”比“六十日谷”增产32.2％。三年的试验证明,“北郊红”是一个适于当地复种的好品种。它植株粗壮,抗风抗倒伏,码密穗紧,早熟高产。
