教育质量问题经济合作与发展组织的对比研究表明,东亚地区的教育体系胜于世界上其他任何地区的教育体系。2003年,东亚地区6个成员国的学生在参加PISA全球15岁学生数学能力测评中,均进入了世界前10名①。东亚地区的教育质量较高,但亚洲其他地区的教育质量则参差不齐。在很多已经普及基础教育的国家,那里的校舍、图书馆和实验设备均达不到标准要求,学习环境很不理想。在那样的办学条件下成长起来的青年人,不能充分参与到社会竞争中来,据世界银行2006年的报道,在尼泊尔,15—19岁的青少年中,30%的人文化水平在小学三年级以下,接近60%的人甚至不能顺畅地读完一个句子。
The quality of education A comparative study by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development shows that education systems in East Asia are better than those in any other part of the world.
