林志东,羊城晚报报业集团总经理。1980年调入《羊城晚报》社,历任广告科科长、读者服务公司经理、经营管理处副主任、编委兼经管处主任,社委会委员、总经理。曾首创国内报纸的分类广告、“金页”广告,组织、领导报社多项先进技术的开发与应用,主持建成规模宏伟、技术先进、设备一流的羊城晚报印务中心,获得1998年新闻出版署科技进步一等奖、中国报业首届报业经营创新奖、第七届中国毕升印刷技术奖,以及多个全国性报业经营管理方面的奖项。日前,记者借赴广州开会之机,顺访了羊城晚报报业集团,参观了羊城晚报印务中心,并对集团总经理林志东进行了专访。近几年来,羊城晚报报业集团借助现代信息网络技术,在消除“信息孤岛”、完善信息化建设、提升报业集团竞争力方面,做了许多扎实的工作,取得了比较明显的成效,给我们留下了十分深刻的印象。如何消除“信息孤岛”是当前报业同仁面对的共同课题,与林总的访谈就是围绕这个主题展开的。
