The Common Six Degrees of Freedom Simulation (GP6) is designed to enable advanced parametric and systematic analysis of the interceptor atmosphere and outer interceptor systems. The degree of detail that is applied to the model in the simulation is a function of the reliability of the data available. The modular nature and variability of the GP6 is especially suitable for situations where the design changes frequently or not adequately due to changes or replacements in the model. The GP6 has a general model for most of the basic subsystems that make up an interceptor system. In most cases, it is sufficient to use this model as a parametric study. If you use GP6 for a certain system, you only have to enter the system specific data into the simulation program. This can be done by changing a few subroutines or entering data into the simulation. If a more accurate system model is required, simply replace the model with higher reliability in the corresponding simulation module. GP6 has been used in a series of parametric studies of tactical and strategic interceptor systems.
