党的先进性表现在党始终代表中国先进生产力的发展方向,代表中国先进文化的前进方向,代表中国最广大人民的根本利益。同时党的先进性又是具体的、历史的。社会主义和谐社会应该是民主法治、公平正义、诚信友爱、充满活力、安定有序、人与自然和谐相处的社会。构建社会主义和谐社会表明了我们党对社会主义认识的深化,也体现了我们党在长期执政条件下对自己执政使命认识的深化。和谐社会也是我们党的最高纲领和现阶段最低纲领的统一。提出和构建社会主义和谐社会,对党的先进性建设具有重要的推动作用。我们党要大力发展社会主义社会的生产力,大力发展社会主义先进文化,大力发展社会主义民主政治。加强党的先进性建设,为建设社会主义和谐社会而奋斗。
The advanced nature of the party shows that the party represents the development direction of China’s advanced productive forces from time to time, represents the advancing direction of China’s advanced culture and represents the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the Chinese people. At the same time, the advanced nature of the party is concrete and historical. A harmonious socialist society should be a society in which democracy and the rule of law, fairness and justice, honesty and fraternity, vitality, stability and order, and man and nature live in harmony. The construction of a harmonious socialist society shows our party’s deepening of socialism and also deepens our understanding of our own governing mission under long-term governance. A harmonious society is also the supreme program of our party and the unification of the minimum program at this stage. Proposing and building a socialist harmonious society play an important role in promoting the party’s progressiveness. Our party must vigorously develop the productive forces in the socialist society, vigorously develop the advanced socialist culture and vigorously develop socialist democratic politics.
