Cracks in the Mesozoic and the Paleozoic of the Chengdao field are identified in cores, thin sections and logging curves. Well segments with cracks are determined in more than 10 wells. The density of cracks in the Paleozoic is more than that in the Mesozoic. Fine cracks formed during the Himalayan movement are effective Passages for oil-gas migration. CraCks in Paleozoic buried hills might provide storage space for oil-gas generated during Eogene.
