The Bailongjiang Group studied in this paper refers to a set of shallow metamorphic rocks widely distributed in the western part of West Qinling under the Lower Devonian, which is equivalent to a part of “Bailongjiang System” called by Ye Lianjun and Guan Shicong (1944). Although the research on this formation has a long history, there is no unified understanding of its era and its division so far (table below). After the liberation, due to the need of mineral prospecting exploration work, the study of this formation has been deepening.
