我省三门县六敖公社,地处东南沿海平原,是一个粮、棉、蔗综合性农业地区,常年种植甘蔗3,000亩左右,甘蔗是这个公社主要经济作物之一。宿根蔗行距大(一般90～100厘米),前期蔗苗生长缓慢,3月下旬气温回升才陆续出苗,到5月蔗地绿色覆盖面不到二分之一。6月以后,随着蔗苗生长,分蘖增加,才逐渐封垄,从甘蔗收获至翌年5月,有4个多月能用
