The remedial reinforcement project at the Saluda Dam in the United States is currently under construction with the aim of improving the seismic safety of the dam. Reinforcement involves the construction of a RCC and rockfill block downstream from the existing dam. To ensure the safety of buildings during excavation and reinforcement, a construction monitoring program costing up to $ 6 million was implemented.
