三官庙乡在登封县組织社会主义建设全面跃进的过程中,出色地完成了扫盲、水利、绿化、除四害、治安保卫、牲畜饲养,粮食征购、統計等八种工作,获得了模范乡的光荣称号。今年2月間該乡党支部創办了“干部紅专学校”,解决了乡干部向理論、文化、科学大进軍的問题,这是又一个引人注目的创举。三官庙乡为什么要创办“干部紅专学校”呢?概括的回答是:“党的号召,形势需要,干部要求”。該乡从今年3月13日宣布实現“无文盲乡”之后,接着在两三天內,又普及了业余中、小学教育,几年来扫盲毕业的青壮年农民,都参加了业余中、小学学习。全乡并建立了农业、林业、水利、畜牧、飼养、卫生等九处科学技术研究所,有182人参加,还組织了11个創作組,有170人参加。全乡老年人組織了“若梁(男)”“余太君(女)”文化学习班和小組。全乡出现了空前未有的学习文化和研究科学技术的新气象。在这种情况下,区、乡干部都感到“紧張”,迫切要求解决自己的学习問題,如乡团支书王金亮說:“群众已上高中了,我还是扫盲毕业,咋工作呢?”
