Among the “Three Musketeers” who went wandering in France, they returned to China after returning from Wu Guanzhong (1919-2010), and Chu Teh-chun (1920-2014) and Zao Wou-ki (1921-2013) resided in France and became outstanding painters in world abstract paintings. Zao Wou-ki, combining modern western painting form and oil painting color skill with the traditional Chinese cultural connotation, created a painting space with changing color, strong brushwork, rhyme and sense of light, which is called “the representative of Western modern lyric abstract ”. Chu Teh-chun created a Chinese-style mysterious and obscure poetic space with Chinese ink painting and European painting techniques. He injected the traditional Chinese Zen realm into a new life for Western painting called “Abstract Landscape” Later, the change of his painting style changed from tangible concrete painting to the realization of the tangible and philosophical thought of Tao Tong Heaven and Earth.
