徐州地区各时代的碳酸盐岩岩溶化过程中,有铝、铁、锰等金属、非金属元素析出,并转移到溶洞、溶沟、溶槽或洼地中沉积成矿。区内目前已发现与岩溶作用有关的矿床有铝土矿、铁矿、锰矿等等,它们主要是古生代和新生代岩溶作用期的产物。这些岩溶矿床矿体形态、产状、规模大小均严格受到岩溶地形、地貌条件的控制,碳酸盐岩岩溶化不仅为成矿提供物质基础,而且还为矿物质聚集、堆积(沉积)提供良好的场所。
