The regression of genital warts is associated with T cell immunity, and the authors demonstrated that the immunogenicity of the L2E7 / AlE gel vaccine made from recombinant HPV 6 L2E7 fusion protein to Alhydrogel is stronger than that of soluble L2E7. The authors further investigated the effect of MPL on immunogenicity and reactivity of L2E7 in different formulations using lipopolysaccharide (LPS) -modified lipid monophosphate lipid A (MPL) from Salmonella minnesota R595 strain as an adjuvant.
