计量光栅一般为增量制,当用作数控加工机床的检测元件时,有可能造成过冲量积累妨碍加工精度的提高。即使采用过冲补偿,加工精度仍受到限制,而且线路复杂,因而有的便采用绝对制的码盘、码尺作为检测元件。但又出现脉冲当量不是整数,译码线路比较复杂等问题。为了比较简单地解决这些问题,可在光栅的检测范围内设置一个或几个绝对零位,采用归零的方法,实现停电记忆、座标原点寻找、消除误差积累、进行误差修正等功能。使增量制与绝对制兼容。
