水驱采油发展至后期,油层含水率也会逐渐提高,但地下仍然会滞留大量的可动剩余油。为了实现这部分油层采收率的进一步提高,油田工作人员应不断深化对于非均质储层微观性的认识。一种研究精细地质的方法,精细油藏描述技术也得到了不断的发展,以及广泛的应用,其主要目标在于对油田开发情况作以阶段性总结,有渗空间变化特征、内部结构、储集层砂体几何形态出发出发进行了精细地质研究,其主要研究项目包括:地质建模、表外储层研究、流动单元研究、划分砂体内部建筑结构单元、描述成因单元砂体连通性与连续性以及开发单元的细化等等,从而为油田的增产提供技术基础。
