本文评价了漂浮式碘缓释器防治地方性甲状腺肿6个月的现场疗效，结果提示：地方性甲状腺肿大率虽有下降，但较对照组未出现统计学差异（P＞0．05）；防治地方性甲状腺肿有效率和治愈率分别为6．8％和11．0％，较对照组有非常显著的差异（P＜0．01）；学龄儿童指尖全血T4的均值水平由53．1ng／ml提高到62．3ng／ml，与防治前和同期对照组比较均有非常显著差异（P＜0．01），其T4低于正常的异常检出率明显低于对照组（P＜0．05）；TSH的均值水平防治前后未有明显差异（P＞0．05），但对照组的均值和异常检出率均显著高于防治组（P＜0．01）；尿碘呈现出稳步上升趋势，在1个月时较基础值（81．7μg／L）提高1．4倍，在3个月时（102．4μg／L）提高1．76倍，在6个月时（188．4μg／L）提高3．24倍。以上结果表明，漂浮式碘缓释器对防治IDD具有简便易行、效果可靠、成本低和检测方便等优点，在边远的农牧区和碘盐不能推广的地区使用是理想的方法。
