Human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (Hu GM-CSF) is a 2 2 kD glycoprotein consisting of 12 7 amino acids. It stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of early pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells and granulocyte-monocyte progenitor cells (GM-CFCs); enhances the function of mature neutrophils, eosinophils and monocytes-macrophages; synergistically stimulates erythroid, Megakaryocytic and hyperproliferative progenitor cells (HPP-CFCs)
