中国CI的先行者贺懋华早年从事包装设计工作,1978年因一次难得的机会参加了由外贸部包装局组织的一个“现代设计”学习班,这个班的主讲专家来自美国最富盛名的CI专业公司——朗涛公司。在这个后来被圈内人士称为大陆CI界“黄埔一期”的讲习班上,贺懋华第一次接触到CI计划(CORPORATE IDENTITY英文缩写)这一颇具新潮的词汇。1980年,联合国开发署的一项援华项目(CCR)计划开始实施,由世界贸易中心选派瑞典设计专家埃力克·黎利乌思等来华培训6名中国设计师,重点讲授“设计定位”理论。贺懋华又有幸参加,并在此后作为东道国的专业代表,在广州、张家口、青岛主持了三期外籍专家的援华培训。
He Mao, the forerunner of CI in China, was engaged in package design in his early years. The World Trade Center selected Swedish design experts Alico Lelyus and others to train 6 Chinese designers in China, focusing on the theory of “design orientation” . He Maohua was fortunate enough to attend and later, as the host country’s professional representative, hosted three training programs for foreign experts in Guangzhou, Zhangjiakou and Qingdao.
