In China’s newly revised “Code for the Design of Industrial Building Floors” (draft for approval), for the calculation of the thickness of concrete floors with a wide range, the calculation formula established by China has been adopted. The characteristic of China’s computational theory is that thrust is considered in the calculation of the ultimate bearing capacity of the ground panel. We believe that this reflects the actual working mechanism of the plain concrete floor slab; therefore, the new formula has made a significant improvement over the original formula.
