美国圆满完成了一辆二氧化碳冷藏试验车的试验。该试验车以液态二氧化碳作制冷剂,车体由100t标准机械冷藏车改制而成。原车的机械冷藏设备被拆除,从而增大了有效装载容积。改造车装有玻璃纤维隔热层的内墙板和内顶板,而地板由相互联通的铝制气瓶组成。瓶内充以具有21kgf/cm~2压力的液态二氧化碳,以维持地板温度在-18.3℃左右。当液态二氧化碳受热时,瓶内压力上升,排气阀就会放出部分气体,瓶内压力随之下降,以此保证地板温度在-18.3℃。此外,当需要时,还可自动往货物顶部喷洒液体二氧化碳来满足适当的车内
