The main function of sodium channels is to selectively allow Na + transmembrane transport, delivery and maintenance of cell excitability. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of endogenous non-coding small RNA molecules that regulate the expression of post-transcriptional target genes. This article reviews the progress of miRNAs in controlling sodium channel expression in the disease, and discusses its development prospects in clinical diagnosis and treatment-related diseases.
