This paper shows that the locomotive diesel exhaust bellows is a kind of excellent thermal compensation element whose service life depends on the fatigue damage caused by the stress cycling caused by pressure and displacement. Through stress analysis and displacement analysis, this paper emphasizes that scientific design, reasonable choice and proper use are the key points to improve the service life of bellows.
