玉米耕葵粉蚧是承德地区近几年来为害较重的害虫,发生面积不断扩大。2010年6月22日兴隆县植保站在平安堡镇、大水泉乡、八卦岭乡、北水泉乡进行虫情调查,平均百株虫量达550头,最高单株虫量超过20头。2011年6月上旬承德县头沟、岗子、两家、三沟、石灰窑等乡(镇)玉米耕葵粉蚧相继发现,一般地块百株虫量300~500头,严重地块百株虫量2 000头以上,当年玉米减产30%~50%,给农民造成严重损失。
