新中国成立以来,我国玉米育种的整体水平大幅提高,但是与世界先进国家相比还有很大的差距,特别是在玉米育种的学科建设和研究结构方面与美国的差距进一步扩大。在这样严峻的形势下,国家科技部和农业部对玉米育种研究越来越重视。笔者认为要想尽快扭转中国玉米育种进展缓慢的势头,玉米育种研究者应当首先明确中国育种存在的问题与不足。
Since the founding of New China, the overall level of maize breeding in China has been greatly improved, but there is still a big gap compared with the advanced countries in the world. In particular, the gap with the United States in discipline construction and research structure of maize breeding is further widened. In such a severe situation, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Agriculture pay more and more attention to maize breeding research. In my opinion, if we want to reverse the slow progress of corn breeding in China as soon as possible, the researchers of corn breeding should first clarify the problems and deficiencies in breeding in China.
