澳门位于珠江口西岸,由澳门半岛、凼仔岛、路环岛组成,总面积约23.5平方公里,人口约45.6万。在澳门97％的华人治疗疾病和养生保健有使用中医中药的习惯,一项统计数据表明,约85％的病人向私人执业的医生或中医师门诊求诊,90％的病人到公立医院接受住院治疗,因此澳门居民对中医中药有很大的需求。澳门的中医药行政上隶属于政府的卫生及社会事务政务司。中医医师执业要在该司办理登记手续,中药药房也归该司管理和监督。澳门的社会民众团体很多,数年前成立了中医学会和中药研究会,各级与内地中医药组织携手开展学术交流。近几年,随着澳门中医药界与内地的合作与交流的不断深入,以及在全体中医药界人士的一致努力下,澳门中医中药有了明显的发展,在治疗和预防疾病方面发挥了
Located on the west bank of the Pearl River estuary, Macau consists of the Macau Peninsula, Taipa Island, and Coloane Islands. It has a total area of approximately 23.5 square kilometers and a population of approximately 456,000. 97% of Chinese in Macao have a habit of using traditional Chinese medicine for treating diseases and health care. A statistical data shows that about 85% of the patients seek medical consultation from private doctors or Chinese medicine practitioners, and 90% of the patients are admitted to public hospitals. Treatment, therefore, Macao residents have a great demand for Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine in Macau is administratively subordinate to the government’s Department of Health and Social Affairs. The practice of Chinese medicine practitioners must go through the registration procedures in the Division, and the Chinese medicine pharmacy is also under the management and supervision of the Division. There are many groups of people in society in Macau. Several years ago, the TCM Association and the Chinese Medicine Research Association were established. All levels cooperated with the Mainland Chinese Medicine Organization to carry out academic exchanges. In recent years, with the continuous deepening of the cooperation and exchanges between the Chinese medicine community in Macao and the Mainland, and the concerted efforts of all the people in the Chinese medicine community, Macao’s traditional Chinese medicine has developed significantly and has played a role in the treatment and prevention of diseases.
