The advantages of the neutron activation analysis are non-destructive, multielement and high accuracy, but there are many difficulties on the study for the big sample so far. IAEA organized a CRP cooperative item to find the solutions for big sample analysis. In this study, we analyzed the horizontal beam neutron self-decay characteristics of in-hospital neutron irradiator (IHNI) when it irradiates high purity zinc (Zn) and zirconium (Zr) plates.
