In this study, we use the newly constructed mobile structure as a material to investigate the different effects of frequency distribution in language input on Chinese learners’ English abstract constructions. Ninety-two subjects belonging to two levels participated in the experiment. After analyzing the behavioral data of the participants through the Loki mixed model, the conclusions are as follows: 1) Chinese students and native speakers acquire similar English abstract constructions. In the early stage of the acquisition of English abstract constructs, the skewed frequency can significantly promote the acquisition of abstract constructions more than the linguistic input of equal frequency; 2) The influence of linguistic level on the acquisition of new constructions has reached statistical significance However, in the process of learning abstract constructs, learners at low and medium levels obviously rely on linguistic input of skewed frequencies.
