On January 21, 1982, at Chongqing No. 3 Machine Tool Plant, the second working meeting of the Second Council of Chongqing Mechanical Engineering Society was held. President Jin Xiru attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He proposed that the Institute should earnestly do a good job in scientific and technological consulting, training professionals and academic exchanges. After full discussion with comrades at the meeting, the general objectives of the Society to determine this year’s work are: to strengthen scientific and technological collaboration, carry out technical exchanges, organize technological research, promote the application of applicable technologies, and obtain a number of scientific and technological achievements for the revitalization of the city’s machinery industry. To this end, it is required to focus on the work of this year’s society.
