Objective To study the hepatoprotective effects of total flavonoids from piercing stone on acute liver injury in mice. Methods CCl4 was used to induce acute hepatic injury in mice. The levels of ALT, AST, MDA, And superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity. Results Oral administration of total flavonoids in mice could significantly inhibit the activity of ALT and AST and increase the level of MDA in serum, and increase the activity of SOD. Conclusion The total flavonoids through the broken stone has good hepatoprotective effect on acute liver injury in mice.
