苹果公司的 CEO Steve Jobs 虽然在年初推出新款iMAC 的时候,就预言传统 CRT 屏幕已死,但是现在却又重新推出 CRT 屏幕计算机 eMac,专门针对教育行业。现在 eMac 推出的的时间不长,苹果又再次改变了主意。eMac 原本是专门卖给学校的 iMac 版本,但日前苹果已经取消这项限制,正式宣告进军零售市场。零售版与教育版相似,但是增加了一些额外功能,如 CD-R 刻录机,56kbps 调制解调器,售价也高了些。而 eMac 跟四年前旧款 iMac 一样,都使用传统映像管屏幕。苹果 CEO Steve Jobs 表示,eMac 原本只是卖给学校,并不对外零售,但由于消费者反应一直很热烈,因此苹果决定更改计划,迎合消费者需求。不过这么一来似乎有点自打嘴巴。苹果推出新 iMac 的时候,15英寸(LCD)是它最大的改变,Jobs 同时正式宣告 CRT
While Apple CEO Steve Jobs predicted the traditional CRT screen was dead at the start of the new iMAC early this year, it now re-launches the CRT screen computer eMac, specifically for the education industry. Now that eMac has been around for a while, Apple has changed its mind again. eMac was originally sold to the school iMac version, but recently Apple has canceled this restriction, officially announced the entry into the retail market. The retail version is similar to the educational version, but adds some additional features such as a CD-R burner and a 56kbps modem for a higher price. The eMac, like the old iMac four years ago, uses traditional image tube screens. Apple CEO Steve Jobs said eMac was originally for sale to schools and not for retail sales. However, as consumers responded enthusiastically, Apple decided to change plans to cater to consumer needs. However, this seems a little self-talk. Apple introduced the new iMac when the 15-inch (LCD) is its biggest change, Jobs also officially announced the CRT
