将3Cr2WSV钢制207轴承套圈塔形成形凹模(以下简称207凹模)的淬火温度提高到1150℃,回火温度提高到670°~680℃(回火后硬度降到HRC37~39),可显著提高模具的强韧性,消除了早期脆断,模具寿命由平均2000件提高到6000件。试验结果表明:模具材料的K_(IC)值可以较准确地反映出207凹模的抗脆断能力,α_K值则不能。3Cr 2W8V钢淬火回火后的K_(IC)值与硬度(HRC)值有一定的关系,回火到HRC40以下,可使3Cr2W8V的K_(IC)值大幅度增高。
