Bacteriophages that can infect and lyse Aeromonas hydrophila and Aeromonas salmonicola have been isolated. After 4 hours of introduction of such phage in vitro, the pathogenicity of the bacterium Vibrio fungi to fish was eliminated. Field experiments show that bacteriophages can increase the survival rate of milkfish in wintering ponds. The use of phages to control fish diseases has just begun, and groundbreaking research is needed to determine if phage can be used as pathogens for other bacterial fish diseases
