新年画运动是新中国成立之后大规模开展的新年画创作。在新中国成立以前,鲁艺美术系学子曾在“创作与实践相结合”的口号下进行美术宣传并在“艺术大众化”口号下探求与民间美术的结合。其中1939年在太行山脉地区进行木刻宣传的“鲁艺木刻工作团”以少数成员、广泛的影响力及对民间美术的成功借鉴,推动了建国后新年画运动的发展。
New Year’s picture movement is a new year after the founding of New China’s large-scale New Year paintings. Before the foundation of the People’s Republic of China, Lu Yi’s art students once conducted art propaganda under the slogan of “Combination of Creation and Practice” and explored the combination with folk art under the slogan of “Art Popularization”. Among them, the “Luyi Woodcut Work Team”, which carried out woodcut propaganda in the Taihang Mountains in 1939, promoted the development of the New Year’s picture movement after the founding of the People’s Republic with a few members, extensive influence and reference to the success of folk art.
