甜菜碱(Betaine)、又名三甲基甘氨酸(Trime thylglycne),存在于多种動植物体内,在甜菜中尤为丰富。本实验所用盐酸甜菜碱系从甜菜制糖的废液中提制。有报告:甜菜碱有预防实验性脂肪肝的发生和促进幼鸡生长的作用。近有发现甜菜碱对某些肿瘤细胞的有丝分裂有抑制作用。盐酸甜菜碱曾作为治疗胃酸缺乏症的药物编入英国付药典。对于盐酸甜菜碱的其他药理作用目前报道尚少,本工作拟以盐酸甜菜碱灌胃,观察药物对小鼠中枢神經系统活動的影响。本工作包括以下三项内容:(1)单纯盐酸甜菜碱灌胃对小鼠自发活動的影响,(2)盐酸甜菜碱灌胃对阈下催眠剂量戊巴比妥钠作用的影响;(3)盐酸甜菜碱对小鼠药物性睡眠持续时间的影响。
Betaine, also known as Trimethylglycne, is present in many plant and animal species and is particularly rich in beets. The betaine hydrochloride used in this experiment was prepared from the waste sugar beet sugar. There are reports: betaine to prevent the occurrence of experimental fatty liver and promote the growth of young chickens. Recently, betaine has been found to inhibit the mitosis of some tumor cells. Betaine hydrochloride has been incorporated into the United Kingdom as a drug for the treatment of gastric acidosis. For the other pharmacological effects of betaine hydrochloride is still little reported, this work is intended to gavage with hydrochloric acid to observe the effects of drugs on central nervous system activity in mice. This work includes the following three elements: (1) the effect of simple gastric infusion of betaine on spontaneous activity in mice, (2) the effect of betaine hydrochloride on the effect of subthreshold and hypnotic dose of sodium pentobarbital, (3) Effect of Betaine Hydrochloride on the Duration of Drug - induced Sleep in Mice.
