交三单交是贵州省农业干部学院用新育成的“交51”与外地优良自交系“自330”组配育成的玉米杂交种,抗逆性强适应性广,高产稳产,综合性状好。若亲本混杂,其优势必然减退,增产作用下降。为了解决亲本自交系纯度检验问题,在实践中发现母本自交系“交51”与父本自交系“自330”等自交系和交三单交等杂交种在一定环境条件下萌发,其胚根和芽鞘表现不同色泽的反应。根据这一现象,设计出一个快速测定自交系交51纯度的检验方法。经过1991年以来与田间检验结果多次对比,其吻合程度达到90%—100%,证明用此法检验交51纯度,具有快速简便、准
