洪迈提出“唐诗无避隐”一说,实隐含“唐诗的选材”、“唐人创作心理”及“唐宋诗之别”等分命题,在揭示唐人发扬诗教精神、深于讽喻时政等方面,颇有见解,但其论例限于宫禁嬖昵之作,未免片面。相对于宋诗,唐诗的确多无避隐,其原因在于唐人对于诗歌功能的定位及题材内容的取舍等,这就导致文人创作心理的变化,也导致唐宋诗在创作环境和主体精神方面形成鲜明对比。
