哈尔滨电机厂在九月二十四日制成一台10000瓩冲击式水轮机的焊接结构水涡轮,这是我国水电设备制造上的一项巨大成就。水渦轮是水轮机制造的重大关键,它是一个形状非常复杂而要求又很严格的大型铸钢件,所以世界各国常常以能否制造出好的水涡轮的毛坯来代表他们的铸造技术水平的高低。例如西欧国家召开的铸造会议上,就有一些国家展出水渦轮的毛坯实物,以炫耀他们的铸造技术。我国虽然也有工厂掌握了这种高级技术,生产了不少的水涡轮,装备了若干个水电站,但具有这样条件的工厂目前还是不多,如果沿用常用的整体铸造,制造水电设备就不能遍地开花,就不能适应我国高速度发展电力工业的需要。
