30年前的1976年的许多往事是共和国历史上值得回眸的．因为它不仅是十年“文革”的最后一年,还发生了令世界瞩目.迄今成为全球灾害史最悲惨的一幕:唐山“7.28”大地震。然而我们尤不可忘记的是这一年中国相继失去了毛泽东、周恩来、朱德三位伟人。2006年1月8 日．是敬爱的周恩来总理逝世30周年纪念日,国内外传媒已有越来越多的纪念文章刊出,本刊策划并编辑了一组建筑师回忆周恩来总理关心并指导城市建设的文章,以表达本刊及建筑学人对周总理的缅怀与崇敬之情．相信从这些文章及珍贵的图片中能感受到;周恩来总理生前虽日理万机．日以继夜地处理国内外大事,但他也十分关心现代化的城市建设及传统文化的保护,被国内建筑界权威人士誉为“总设计师”．愿本刊组编的这些系列文章更多地让读者记忆起周总理的过去,因为历史不会被尘封．永驻人世的是周总理锐意求真．诲人不倦的品质。感谢本文在采编中杨永生编审给予的帮助,在此特向他致谢．
