英语单词的一词多义现象历来是语言学领域的研究热点,尤其是动词的词义变体现象。兰盖克在其《认知语法基础》中提到,动词是一种象征表达,其语义级勾画的是过程,包括一系列的状态,代表该过程中的不同的阶段。动词在这个过程中的运动轨迹不同,造成了动词词义变体。本文主要从认知语法的过程理论出发,对动词词义变体的原因进行详细的解释。
Polysemy of English words has always been a hot topic in the field of linguistics, especially the semantic variation of verbs. In his book “The Basics of Cognitive Grammar,” Langerk mentions that verbs are a kind of symbolic expression whose semantic level is characterized by processes, including a series of states that represent different stages of the process. Verbs in the process of movement of different trajectories, resulting in the verb semantic variations. In this paper, starting from the process theory of cognitive grammar, we explain in detail the reasons for the verb meaning variation.
