文学趣味论作为西方文学发展史的文化动因之一,总是服膺于“寓教于乐”和“文以载道”的经世哲学。阅读趣味造就当下英国文学市场的繁荣现状,与之形成反讽的则是英国学界对此问题的集体失语。凯瑟琳·贝尔西以文学趣味论的文化唯物论视角,联系当下英国文学界的种种不良现象,在梳理“被忽视的趣味传统”的基础上考察文学趣味和阅读品的深层动因,在“作为文化史的文学批评”的基础上展望趣味问题的突围道路。本文聚焦贝尔西的理论新作《批评的前景》,考辨其文学趣味论的观念体系,反思学院派文学批评的现实困境和理论前景。
As one of the cultural motivators of the development history of western literature, literary taste theory always serves as the philosophy of the world through “edutainment” and “writing”.
