固原市原州区位于宁夏南部、六盘山北麓,是黄河的一级支流清水河的发源地,在天然林保护工程实施之前,该区植被稀疏,十年九旱,水土流失严重,土地承载力低,人民生活十分困难,自2000年启动实施天然林保护工程以来,通过创新森林资源管护方式,完善森林管护机制,使项目区森林资源得到有效保护,提高了林分质量,增强了森林生态功能和碳汇能力,改善了区域生态环境,为构建宁南生态屏障作出了重要贡献。
Located in the south of Ningxia and the northern foot of Liupan Mountain, the original state of Guyuan in Guyuan, the birthplace of Qingshui River, a first tributary of the Yellow River, before the implementation of the natural forest protection project, the vegetation in this area is sparse. Low and people’s life is very difficult. Since the implementation of natural forest protection project in 2000, we have improved the forest management and protection mechanism by innovating forest resources management and protection so as to effectively protect the forest resources of the project area, improving the quality of forest and enhancing the quality of forest Ecological function and carbon sequestration ability to improve the regional ecological environment and make an important contribution to the construction of the ecological barrier in south Ningxia.
