作为一位兼具作家与学者双重身份的批评家,格非在批评实践中既有从知识学层面所展开的客观性研究,也有以自身创作经验为依据的主观性价值诉求。前者对批评对象所进行的概念分析与理论归纳,是一种典型的以求真为目标的学院派批评;而后者对原作故事情节的追踪复述,以及由此所展开的对于小说之艺术本源的探讨,则是一种以求善和求美为目标的作家式批评。这两类异质性批评话语的繁荣共生,造成了格非文学批评的一个基本特点,即以小说叙事的方式去展开批评实践。这种小说式批评方法,对于解决当前文学批评的合法性危机问题,无疑也有着重要的启示意义。
As a critique of writer and scholar’s dual identities, Ge Fei criticizes both the objectivity of the research on the basis of knowledge and the subjective value demands based on his own creative experience. The former analyzes and summarizes the conceptual analysis and theory of the critics, which is a typical academic critique aimed at truth seeking. The latter traces back and forth the story of the original work and the original artistic origin of the novel Exploring, it is a kind of writer’s criticism aimed at seeking good and seeking beauty. The prosperity and symbiosis of these two types of heterogeneous discourse criticism has created a basic trait of Gefei’s non-literary criticism, that is, criticizing practice in the way of narrative. This novel criticism method undoubtedly also has important enlightenment significance for solving the crisis of legitimacy of the current literary criticism.
