短果杜鹃(Rhododendron biachycarpum)是杜鹃花科、杜鹃花属的珍贵稀有植物。分布于中国东北、日本。但在我国仅见于长白山海拔1000—1300米的针叶混交林内,产于吉林长白山国家级自然保护区白山管理站附近、长白朝鲜族自治县的撂荒地等部分地段。生于湿润肥沃的偏酸性土壤,喜荫湿环境,耐寒而不耐旱。是东北株形较大的杜鹃花科植物。其叶大色绿、婀娜多姿,花多而洁白如玉,是较为理想的观赏植物。
Rhododendron biachycarpum is a precious rare plant of the family Azalea and Rhododendron. Distributed in northeast China, Japan. However, it is only found in the coniferous mixed forest of 1000-1300 meters above sea level in Changbai Mountain in China. It is produced in some areas near the Baishan Management Station of Changbai Mountain National Nature Reserve in Jilin and the wasteland of Changbai Korean Autonomous County. Born in moist and fertile acidic soil, hi shade wet environment, cold and not drought-resistant. Rhododendron is a large plant shape in Northeast China. Its large green leaves, graceful, flowers and more white jade, is the ideal ornamental plants.
