In the summer of 2010, the editorial board of the Cantonese version of the “Chinese” textbook compilation group made some changes to the five compulsory textbooks, mainly changing the first cell activity module into an activity writing unit to make the purpose of the event clearer and at the same time change A small part of the text of the article. Why do we need to modify the teaching materials? How to grasp the relevant spirit and reflect the intention of the teaching materials writers in the teaching practice? These problems are worth noting. In this issue, we invite Professor Chen Jiamin, editor in chief of the Chinese version of the Guangdong Education High School, and Tan Jianwen, the chief of the language department of the Teaching and Research Section of the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Education to express their opinions. At the same time, I invited Chen Yang from Guangzhou Six and Yu Wei from the middle school attached to Guangzhou University to introduce their practical experience and thinking in implementing the revised spirit of the textbooks, hoping to inspire the readers.
