烧结厂二球车间造球盘所用的刮刀材料原是普通钢板,寿命仅3—4天,后改用高锰钢板,寿命也仅有7—8天。由于刮刀不耐磨更换次数频繁影响生产。因此急需一种耐磨材料代替金属,以提高刮刀的使用寿命。为此决定试制碳化硅刮刀。最初试制的是再结晶碳化硅刮刀,后来为简化工艺,又试制了环氧树脂粘结的碳化硅刮刀。两种试制晶均在二球车间5500×600造球盘上试用。效果均较满意。
