一、问题的提出 马尾松(Pinus massoniana Lamb)分布广,生长快,适应性强,是我国荒山造林的先锋树种。为了迅速实现我省林木良种化,近几年来,我们进行了马尾松优树选择工作,并制定了《马尾松选优的标准与方法》,选优的方法是采用“五株大树对比法”。但在试行过程中,有很多不足之处,特别是选一株要实测六株树的高、胸径、中央直径,计算形率、形数、材积。由于目前缺乏方便而准确的仪器,测树高、中央直径都是采用人工爬树直接测量,选一株要爬六株,计算也很麻烦,选优的工作量很大,不利于群众性的选优活动。为了探讨比较简便、精确的选优方法及标准,我们对采用“五株大树对比法”调查的数据,进行了统计分析,初步提出了较为简便、精确的方法——三株大树胸径对比法。
