本文综述了国外大功率货运内燃机车的使用情况,国外货运机车多机联挂的情况及国外提高机车粘着效率为重载货运列车创造条件的情况。着重说明各国牵引重载货运列车大多采用中等功率的内燃机车实行多机联挂,使功率适应列车吨位的需要,收到量体裁衣之效,从而获得良好的燃料经济性,同时解决了机车功率与粘着之间的匹配关系问题,使轴重保持在允许限值之内。
