随着社会经济和全球化的发展,社会为高职院校学生提供了更多的涉外就业机会。社会对英语的需求呈现多元化的趋势,越来越多的用人单位认为英语是一种社会技能。高职教育肩负着高等教育和职业培训的双重责任,高职英语教学不仅要注重对学生语言基础知识的培养,还要突出对学生实际应用能力的培养,要以为“实用为主,够用为度,应用为目的”的理念来进行英语教学。
